It's a pleasure to meet you- my name is Mèjoe (pronounced like met-chew).I'm a writer, poet and creative communication professional that strongly believes perfection is a myth. Therefore, this digital space is my sanctuary and collective portfolio for all my poetry, visual work experience or personal creative projects. Get to know the writer.
Born and raised in a small and quiet town in the Netherlands, I've slowly grown into a writer and digital creative who's inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life. Although, the city life of Utrecht has really captivated me these last couple of years.Throughout most of my studying life, I've spent a total of five years living and working in Sweden during the summers. Back home, in the remaining months, I actively focused on finishing my degree in Tourism & Hospitality management and now, most recently, my Bachelor in Communications & Marketing. I love working on complicated projects and connecting people through the art of communication.Nature is where my thoughts settle and my words begin, whether I'm writing poetry, working on new projects, or my photography. My proudest tangible projects.
I believe art deserves to live on beyond the screen. This page showcases my proudest physical creations, where poetry and design meet in tangible form. Each piece is a reflection of my journey — imperfect, expressive, and created from deeply personal experiences.
From my heart to yours.
My first tangible creation in poetry is a personal project called 'From my heart to yours', in which I bundled a collection of poems written throughout several months in the first half of 2025; a period of positive change, love and personal growth.
One thousand kisses.
This book is a collection of poems and moments from the second half of 2025. This year was full of lessons and soft moments throughout the seasons.
winterpoetry.
The winter of 2025 was a gorgeous one. A subtle winter with some cold periods, and most importantly: the biggest snowfall in The Netherlands in recent years. It was too beautiful to be sitting behind my laptop writing, so instead, I've lived through these moments fully and continued to spend the majority of 2026 remeniscing on this wonderful season.This led to the concept-project of 'Winterpoetry'.
The Lingering sense of Familiar contempt.
Raw emotion tied into a vulnerable collection— sensations of childhood fears, healed wounds and pain that wanted to be seen. Collected poems from one's tumultuous journey of healing the inner child.

My personal photography.
With a fondness for sunsets and cosmic beauty, I take a lot of inspiration for my writing from nature. Northern lights, full moons or golden sunsets: there is so much poetry in everything around us— in what the world gives us. All photos are taken by me and hold special meaning, as they each tell a story.

The Lekker Company (2026)
For The Lekker Company, a deodorant business from Utrecht (www.thelekkercompany.com), I have created multiple creative outings. Varying from printed matter like posters and flyers, to social media content, video's and product photography.

ACSI Publishing (2025)
During my time at ACSI, Europe's leading expert in campsites and holidays, I've worked on several projects. These ranged from sustainability reports and the development of strategic communication plans, to copywriting and the creation of digital content.
LittleLessDumb Agency (2022)
For LLD Agency, a small local startup, I assisted in the creation and initial takeoff of social media content. During this process, I created content calendars with multiple ready-to-post content assets, optimized webpages and concept art for new initiatives.
